Job Description
Penguin Random House Audio, the premiere publisher in the audiobook industry, is seeking an Associate Manager Rights and Permissions to support the Permissions Manager in the Audio Operations group with clearing artwork for use on audio and large print publications. The Associate Manager will play a critical role in managing the permissions clearances and timely receipt of cover files.

From bestselling authors to emerging authors, Penguin Random House Audio produces audiobooks of the highest quality that push the boundaries of the format. Some of our recent highly acclaimed audiobooks include George Saunders' Lincoln in the Bardo, Seth Rogen's Yearbook, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain's Four Hundred Souls, and many more.

Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate with contacts in other Penguin Random House divisions as well as outside publishers to obtain cover files and clearance information
• Work with freelancers and stock agencies to clear rights and process purchase orders for artwork, photographs, and cover designs
• Maintain database records with expected delivery dates and related information for design team
• Participate in weekly status meetings with multiple departments
• Work with Accounts Payable to process and troubleshoot payments
• Assist Permissions Manager with special projects as needed

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• At least 2 years working in art permissions, publishing, or related field
• Working knowledge of copyrights and familiarity with reading and negotiating art agreements
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to problem-solve and navigate issues diplomatically and professionally
• Knowledge of SAP and/or FileMaker Pro a plus but not required
