Penguin Random House has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative professional who is looking to expand their DEI career. Reporting to and partnering with the EVP Strategy for DEI, you will lead multiple DEI-related projects, serve as a DEI business partner to assigned corporate divisions and distribution centers, and support the strategy and execution of PRH-wide DEI initiatives, all with the goal of meaningful advancement of our work on our PRH DEI Pillars for the benefit of our workforce, readers, and authors.
This new role is part of a passionate and high-achieving 4 person DEI team, which includes our Director of DEI and DEI Associate.
What you'll do:
• Lead/participate in various DEI-related projects as they arise. Examples of projects are those relating to subject matter such as: data collection relating to our publishing programs and author demographics; efforts to make systems, processes, procedures and their functionality more inclusive; educational initiatives for the public aimed at making the publishing industry more accessible to all; employee storytelling projects; and much more.
• Support EVP with administration and guidance for the PRH DEI Taskforce (jointly composed of US Board and Executive DEI Council) and respective Working Groups. Schedule, plan, priority scope, advise on implementation and measurement, track progress on our DEI Strategic Plan.
• Advise on and manage processes related to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) including, among other activities: oversee Executive Sponsorship and Co-Chair application process and ensure ongoing development of their roles; manage ERG Capacity Building Training at the start of terms.
• In partnership with the EVP, create strategy for DEI programming and initiatives for our four PRH distribution centers (located in Westminster, MD (2), Crawfordsville, IN, Reno, NV,), taking into account their unique needs and logistical requirements.
• Serve as advisor and partner to Divisional Officers and divisional subcommittees in assigned divisions to support implementation and to ensure divisional programming has strategic goals and measures that are aligned with corporate DEI strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in each assigned division to help design, coordinate, track and measure divisional DEI initiatives and overall plan.
• Act as consultant, community-builder and DEI subject matter expert to both underrepresented and majority groups.
• Create succinct narratives for delivery of DEI information to various stakeholder groups and promote leadership engagement by providing feedback to senior leaders.
• Partner with HR Generalists on DEI matters.
• Partner with the Communications team to develop schedules and content for communications relating to divisional initiatives, events and progress.
• Co-manage, mentor and develop DEI Associate.

Experience you'll need:
• At least 6 years of corporate experience in the aggregate in any industry
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the diversity, equity and inclusion space
• Experience leading or supporting diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in an operations, warehouse, distribution or production setting is a plus
