Responsibilities
NBCU Local is launching local news streaming OTT channels – set to launch on Peacock this fall. We are looking for creative, organized and passionate journalists with a start-up mentality. The ideal candidate loves local news production, wants to innovate outside of the traditional live control room and help build a virtual news team.

For the Producer/Anchor role, the ideal candidate has on air experience and is conversational and credible. The role will include significant producing/editing for the daily news playlists and anchoring developing and breaking news, as well as updates.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
• 5+ years of experience working in broadcast, live streaming or cable
• 3+ years of experience working on live daily shows
• Minimum 1+ years' experience as a line producer
• Demonstrated and proven excellent editorial judgement
• Understanding of journalistic standards
• Ability to desktop edit
• Write fresh copy as needed
• Excellent communication skills with remote teams
• Ability to react quickly and accurately in breaking news situations
• Ability to travel with short notice and on weekends as needed
• Work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment as needed

Additional Job Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Miramar, FL
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
