What PBS Has For You:

We're a small team responsible for big projects. We're hiring a Senior JavaScript Engineer to build PBS web products. These include www.pbs.org and our Web video player. For this role, ''build'' means:

Review React / TypeScript code
Write React / TypeScript code
Direct web application architecture

Serious bonus points if you have python / Django experience as well.

This role is on a team with three other web-based engineers. This engineer also works closely with the design and product management teams.

What You Have:

You want to share the challenge of delivering millions of video streams weekly to browser-based platforms.

It would be best if you enjoyed the responsibility and impact of seeing your work in the hands of users. You can speak to the interactions between client-side apps and their upstream API services. You have developed web apps in TypeScript. An ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

• Completed a few big projects and have had some time to learn from them
• Trailblazed paths through tricky bits of code for both the product and less experienced developers
