Overview and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Streaming Distribution and Business Development, this person will work closely with major media and technology companies and Paramount Global's executive, product, legal, marketing, finance and strategy teams to renew existing partnerships, and build meaningful new partnerships, to help grow subscribers and revenue for the Streaming division of Paramount Global. Candidates must be self-starters, dynamic ''hunters'' and possess noteworthy negotiation experience and inter-personal relationship skills. This position's primary focus will be negotiating and managing streaming partnerships with MVPD, virtual MVPD and wireless partners (e.g., Comcast, DirecTV, Verizon, T-Mobile) with an additional focus on non-platform/non-video partnerships (e.g., retail, delivery, finance, music, etc.).
• Own partnerships with MVPD, virtual MVPD and wireless partners for Paramount+, Pluto TV, and other Paramount Global streaming properties.
• Drive new opportunities with partners across various non-video industries, including sourcing prospects, pitching potential partners, modeling anticipated outcomes, negotiating deals, and managing ensuing relationships.
• Serve as Deal Lead, successfully managing, negotiating and closing high-visibility, distribution and partnership agreements under time constraints.
• Collaborate with, and manage input from, various internal departments to ensure efficient deal terms.
• Work with Partner Leads to improve the value of partnerships post-negotiation.
• Define goals, objectives and distribution strategies with key internal teams.
• Effectively manage communication between departments and with the executive team.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of video partnership, distribution and/or business development experience (JD or MBA preferred)
• Experience working directly with video distribution partners, either streaming platforms like Amazon, Roku, and Google, or traditional platforms like Comcast, Verizon, and DirecTV, but ideally both

Additional Qualifications
• Deep experience independently leading complex deal negotiations for streaming video partnerships
• Expert understanding of streaming content distribution and monetization practices - including ad-supported and ad-free subscription models (direct to consumer and via 3rd party platforms), FAST, MVPD distribution, and others
• Advanced knowledge of the enabling technologies for the above distribution channels: app development platforms, product features and roadmap prioritization, distribution technologies and infrastructure, content security measurements, multifaceted ad insertion, and others
• Established network of media industry contacts; plus ability to source and establish relationships
• Superior contract negotiation skills and interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong executive presence with effective communication, presentation, and management skills
• Motivated self-starter; determined executive who is able to independently juggle priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-growing business, successful in navigating complex change in an unstructured environment to deliver results
• Financial modelling skills a plus
• Positive outlook and ambition to progress
• This job requires up to 20% travel (depending on location)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $225,000.00 - 250,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
