Overview

The Vice President has an opportunity to work across the entire global Paramount portfolio with some of most iconic properties in entertainment. This includes but not limited to Nickelodeon brands like SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Dora, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yellow Stone, Star Trek and many others.

This is a highly strategic role and will set the business vision, to meet or exceed revenue targets, growth objectives and franchise initiatives for our segment. In this role, the Licensing VP will be in charge of leading all aspects of and growing our licensed partnerships for specific toy categories to ensure the successful development and launch of products. They will develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets, negotiate and implement deals with new or renewing licensees, manage and improve our existing account base, and lead product development for all products. They will drive collaboration with cross-functional collaborators to ensure successful development and implementation of toy category business initiatives.

Responsibilities
• Work together with the SVP of Hardlines to formulate category strategies to meet and exceed our long-term brand plans and financial goals on a global scale.
• Identify, develop, and implement new business initiatives in the assigned categories.
• Analyze, pitch, and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers.
• Drive all quarterly forecasts and business reviews with licensees. Monitor sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals.
• Strong team management skills – set goals and objectives to achieve revenue targets and drive innovation, lead with purpose and compassion.
• Work well with Consumer Product business leaders and key collaborators, Franchise, Press, Global Creative Group, Finance, Operations, International Market Leads, Standards, and Legal to drive the category business strategies across all Paramount franchises.
• Collaborate with Retail Development teams to ensure licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives franchise plans. Also, to actively pitch products for all key seasons throughout the year.
• Lead daily communication with Global Creative Group to coordinate all product development checkpoints, including product approvals and any rush requests.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competitive landscape to share with wider organization and adapt key toy strategies where needed.
• Maintain weekly updates with internal and external collaborators to track performance, address issues and launch strategies.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Top toy manufacturer experience preferably from GBT, possess omni channel experience, P&L experience.
• Robust understanding of Paramount's brand position and retail environment.
• 15+ years experience in the Toy field within retail, manufacturing, or licensing industries.
• Global experience contributing to a complex international consumer products business.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully in a fast paced, multi tasking, aggressive and dynamic organization. As well as, significant influence/negotiation skills with senior level executives.
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple priorities and assignments using good judgment, decision-making and problem solving skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $180,000.00 - 230,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
