OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a Counsel to join the Paramount Advertising, Global Sourcing and Enterprise Technology legal team! In this role, you will provide transactional and advisory services to a wide variety of client groups. You will support Paramount programming services, including Paramount's legacy media businesses, the Paramount+ subscription service, and the Pluto TV FAST service.
• Review, draft and negotiate many types of commercial contracts. Examples include services agreements, ad sales insertion orders and related terms, software-as-a-service licenses, marketing and agency agreements, talent agreements, data licenses, and online terms and conditions.
• Work closely with business teams, including Ad Sales (linear, digital and multiplatform), Ad Sales Operations, Advanced Advertising, Brand Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Research, Consumer Insights, Distribution, Anti-Piracy, and more.
• Collaborate with other in-house legal and compliance teams, including Privacy, Risk Management and Information Security.
• Develop and implement policies and practices for business clients to manage legal risk.
• Propose and develop process improvements for the legal team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
• 3 years of relevant experience at a large law firm and/or media, advertising or technology company.
• Member in good standing of the New York Bar.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with some or all of the following: intellectual property, advertising technology, integrated marketing, influencer marketing, privacy and data protection laws and regulations, consumer research, data licensing, software and technology services, social media, content distribution, and entertainment law.
• Attention to detail, a desire to learn more about the media industry, and an interest in different areas of practice.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while covering a high volume of deals.
