Overview:

MTV Entertainment Group – which is made up of a portfolio of iconic brands such as MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, VH1, CMT, Smithsonian and more as well as the award-winning MTV Entertainment Studios with a roster of #1 hits that includes: Yellowstone and its successful franchises – 1883 and Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+, South Park, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Challenge, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, and the Jersey Shore franchise to name a few – is looking for an upbeat, intelligent and hard-working PR pro to join the team and work on its linear and streaming franchises. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic communications campaigns, key initiatives – from social impact to awards – and working hand in hand with colleagues across all departments within the company and external producing partners to ensure cohesive messaging and coordination.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in the creation and execution of strategic press communications plans for original series and tentpole events including effective pitches for consumer, trade, electronic, print, online/blogger media, podcasts, etc.
• Work across the Emmy Award-winning RuPaul's Drag Race franchise including Drag Race All Stars and Queen of the Universe among other series and additional content.
• Draft all press materials including press releases, bios, talking points, etc.
• Coordinate press interviews, satellite media tours, gallery/episodic photo shoots with talent.
• Media train talent and executives; escort them to press appearances.
• Build relationships with internal departments (specifically Talent, Development, Social, Digital, BALA, International and Marketing) to ensure information flow and flag publicity opportunities proactively.
• Participate in all appropriate programming and marketing meetings for assignments and collaborate with production teams to capture elements needed to promote projects.
• Update press site as needed (bios, photos, releases, clips, etc.).
• Provide on the ground support at tentpole events.
• Work with department coordinators on invoicing and payment processes for external vendors and internal interns.

Basic Qualifications:
• College Degree Preferred.
• 4+ years of entertainment experience – studio, network, streaming platform, agency.
• Experience planning and implementing press tours, screenings, events, etc.

Additional Qualifications:
• Established relationships with key media – consumer, trade, business, etc.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work with tight deadlines and on various projects simultaneously.
• Able to work well with different levels of management, talent, managers, producers, publicists, agents and executives.
• Strong writing skills.
• Genuine passion and knowledge of MTVE brands – youth culture, comedy and entertainment.
• Tech-savvy with a proven understanding and experience of social!
• Creative problem solver who is willing to supply and implement new ideas.
• Self-starter, personable and adaptable teammate!
