Overview:
Our social and native video teams are responsible for developing and producing compelling stories-as told through video, editorial, and social platforms. We promote programming from Paramount+. Including movies, live sports, breaking news with a mountain of entertainment from the ViacomCBS brands such as CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, and Smithsonian! Our team optimizes the best of Paramount+ content to drive audience, engagement, retention and revenue. We use data analytics, analyzing the competitive landscape while recognizing opportunities for innovation that is continually evolving!
Our team at Paramount+ is looking for a Social Strategy Manager to own strategy on longform video creative development. This person will produce best-in-class video content that resonates with our fans and celebrates the depth and breadth of all content offered on Paramount+, from Originals & live events to sports and our expansive film & TV library. This role is pivotal in leading day-to-day planning, creative ideation, and championing innovative and data-driven video strategies to position social video strategies as a top-of-funnel acquisition source.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working cross-functionally on social video content production and audience development strategies. They will also have experience managing direct reports and forging collaborative partnerships with colleagues across divisions, and they are passionate about social media and the entertainment landscape. This position reports to the Director, Brand Social Strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Craft and implement an innovative and data-driven social media strategy and voice for Paramount+ social video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok), leaning into all aspects and features of the platform (YT Community, TT Stories, etc.)
• Maintain a detailed and organized social publishing calendar. Prioritize long-lead times and managing an ongoing pipeline of projects at various concurrent stages
• Collaborate closely with internal and external creative teams on the development of bespoke social video
• Work in close partnership with the full Paramount+ social team across all subject areas and verticals (Brand, Originals, Sports, Live Events, Community Engagement, Paid Audience Development, etc.) to ensure that all priorities are represented in longform social content
• Uniformly refine and optimize content and formats to iterate and use social insights and data
• Track against social team Key Performance Indicators and goals to ensure content produced helps to achieve growth and engagement goals. Create social recap reports and present key findings and status updates to executives and collaborators
• Collaborate with Paramount+ teams across video, design, marketing, and PR to develop innovative social creative and ensure standard processes are employed across all assets provided to the team to publish
• Partner with brand social teams across Paramount Global and represent the Paramount+ social team in frequent meetings and planning sessions
• Supervise social media managers and coordinators and help develop training & growth plans to foster talent
• Study competitor strategies, industry trends, and new product features to ensure Paramount+ stays ahead of the curve

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years' experience managing social video strategy and/or managing brand social accounts with a focus on video
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience

Additional Qualifications:
• Experience directly supervising social media professionals
• Experience developing and creating visuals and videos optimized for sharing
• Deep understanding of social video standard processes across platforms + nuances of the end-user experience on each (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter)
• Ability to build and foster strong relationships with internal collaborators and external partners
• Collaborative leader with a demonstrable commitment to fostering an inclusive and productive work environment
• Meticulous and a stickler for grammar and uniformity in voice
• Able to see the broader picture of social as it relates to the streaming landscape
• Passionate and knowledgeable about television and pop culture
• Great communication skills and ability to speak to all levels of management
• Ability to mine and leverage social and site data to develop content quickly against social trends
• Able to provide samples of prior work
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends if necessary
• Entertainment industry experience
• Agency experience
• Working knowledge of Premiere/video editing software
