The Role and What You'll Do:
The Accommodations Manager is responsible for sourcing accommodations to support various consumer programs across On Location. This role will work closely with the Program Management teams to determine the needs for each program, source the appropriate inventory and negotiate deal terms based on specific requirements.
Specific Job Responsibilities include:
• Identify accommodation needs for programmed events including hotel evaluation, selection, contracting, and ongoing relationship management
• Develop, propose and present hotel options for programmed events
• Negotiate hotel contracts based on specific needs (including, attrition, food and beverage minimums, amenities, etc.)
• Preform market research prior to and during sales cycles
• Build strong relationships with hotels, hotel brands and national sales contacts
• Performs periodic reviews to ensure On Location is receiving the best available rates in the market
• May conduct site inspections of procured hotels and future potential hotels, and develop familiarity with key cities
• Working directly with the Program Management team across its various partnerships including NFL, NCAA, Collegiate Partnerships, NASCAR, and TKO to accomplish the above tasks related to the various events.
Qualifications
Key skills that this individual must possess include strategic decision-making, contract negotiation, effective organization, and prioritization of work. This person must have the ability to formulate and implement procedures. Proven communications and management skills are imperative; familiarity with sports, events and hotels is helpful. The candidate must be strong at multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as team player are required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Two or more years of related business, sales and hotel management preferred
• Strong client-service and vendor management orientation combined with solid interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with hotel contracts and negotiating beneficial agreements
• Past history of developing relationships with existing and potential clients and partners, resulting in financial or other benefits to the organization
• Ability to understand and follow internal business processes, recommending and deploying improvements where possible
• Strong capabilities in writing proposals and contracts.
• Business knowledge or familiarity with end-to-end travel lifecycle, hotel operations and hotel contracting is preferred
• Ability to professionally and effectively represent On Location on the phone and in face-to-face interactions
• Work as a team player to establish and reach goals
• Proficiency in basic software programs (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook)

Travel
