KXAN News is looking for an experienced weekend news anchor and general assignment reporter with a track record of leadership in the newsroom. Must have examples of reporting that show you're a fit with KXAN's in-depth, investigative brand and passionate about stories that impact people's lives. Must excel at cultivating sources and covering a beat to uncover stories.

Journalism or related degree required. Five years hard-news reporting experience required plus newscast anchor experience.

Deliver authentic, dynamic storytelling as a reporter and anchor.

Build network of sources to generate story ideas, break news and stay ahead of competitors.
Pitch, research and develop stories with an in-depth, investigative approach.
Present clear, compelling live shots, standups and unscripted breaking news.

Prioritize reporting on and engaging with digital/social platforms in daily workflow.

Show urgency in breaking news and exhaust all options to get the story.
Produce accurate, complete and compelling content on deadline.
Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Promote teamwork and collaboration with all station personnel.
Possess exceptional research skills.
