Job Description

Our Freelance Weathercaster/Meteorologist is responsible for reporting weather and weather-related and environmental stories.
• Candidate must have undergraduate degree or equivalent related experience.
• Prefer individual who has either (A) reported on regularly scheduled news broadcasts on a commercial or public television station or on a radio station, (B) worked as an on-air television professional for commercial broadcasts – news or otherwise with considerable experience weathercasting, hosting and presenting.
• Ability to adlib news stories related to weather and the environment with ease and accuracy.
• Candidate must be a person willing to involve themselves in continuing education in the field of meteorology.
• Must be able to report on news stories as well as produce weather in newscasts
