Sales Trainee - Part-time

This is a rare opportunity part-time, for an entry level position within the sales department at Lansing's leading news outlets. Work with the experienced sales team at WLNS-CBS, WLAJ-ABC, ELAJ-CW, and WLNS.COM. You will learn all aspects of the business, as well as work within established Sales Department guidelines to maximize station revenue opportunities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, working with Account Executives, entering television and online contracts, pulling spot times, developing proposals and reports, handling make goods, cold-calling and assisting Sales Managers, as needed or required. This position also includes front-desk and receptionist duties at WLNS-TV 6. This position provides an opportunity to grow to a full-time position and is open immediately. Current students or anyone who is interested in exploring a new career.

An enthusiastic attitude and genuine interest in sales and marketing

Ability to work within a team in a professional atmosphere

Reliability

Computer skills

Some college, current student status is fine
