POLITICS REPORTER

The Hill, a division of Nexstar Media Group, is looking for a reporter to join our politics team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be able to juggle breaking news stories with lengthier pieces, showing an ability to do both spot news and deeper dives. The beat will be a broad one touching on the White House, the presidential race, congressional elections and state races.

An ability to work with others is key. Some of the best journalism is collaborative; we're looking for a person who can work across different beats to find strong political stories, executing both their own story ideas and the ideas of others.

Skills and Qualifications

This position requires at least two years of experience in a newsroom.

Compensation ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 commensurate with experience and skill level. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K with company match.
