Are you looking for a career where you make a difference? PIX-11 is looking for a IBEW local 1212 represented Newscenter engineer to join their team at New York's Very Own station. This individual will operate the feed control room in a fast-paced News/Production content creation environment. This position will act as primary liaison between the field and studio operations. Responsible for recording and labeling media, tuning in satellite, microwave, bonded cellular and video streams from multiple sources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The ability to read a show rundown, ENPS
• Communicate to the field the needs of the live broadcast.
• Ability to read scopes and monitor for quality control
• Attention to detail, responsible for maintaining accurate, up to date records on server
• Work with the assignment desk and producers to coordinate the show needs
• Knowledge of acquiring bonded cellular, microwave and satellite signals
• Applicant must be willing to work varied shifts which may include: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 to 5 years‑progressive experience working within broadcast industry. Experience in news gathering a major market. Must have good organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
