Job Description

New Mexico Living and FOX morning shows are seeking a dynamic Producer. This a live morning program locally produced at KRQE News 13 studio in Albuquerque, NM. The show is segment and interview based, highlighting events about the great things going on in our community that relate to food, fashion & local entertainment. If you love to write, have a keen eye for video and can write a tease that leaves viewers wanting more, this is the job for you.
• Writing & producing elements for a three-hour daily program.
• Contribute to the editorial process for the show.
• Manage show timing of daily broadcast from control room.
• Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all digital platforms.
• Work closely with the sales department for client integrated show segments.
• Research production topics using the internet, video archives, and other information sources.
• Calling & booking live interview segments, including local bands.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:
• Must understand brand building directives.
• Must be able to interact well with video-journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production, digital and sales staff.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal, written, grammar and organizational skills.
• Must possess journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer and client needs and expectations.
• Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
• Ability to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may substitute.

Training/Equipment:
Utilize state-of-the-art television technology; MS Outlook, E-mail. Must be familiar with AP, Newspath, & FOX feed systems preferred.
