• Writes and orders news stories with an emphasis on local and relevant news.
• Reviews and rewrites scripts for accuracy, relevancy and non-dated content.
• Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts
• Edits video
• Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms
• Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Desire to be part of a winning news program working with an experienced team of talent
• Excellent writing and grammatical skills
• Understanding of the live news cycle for a local broadcast
• Natural news consumer with excellent news judgement skills and willingness to learn about the market
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Entry Level
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift
