Job Description
WGN America is looking for zone producers to work directly with 110 Nexstar stations to find compelling content that will be used on News Nation, Morning broadcast. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois.

The successful candidate will have:
-Excellent news judgment
-Good communication skills
-The ability to build a story, develop new details and work with the newsroom to ensure comprehensive coverage
-Strong writing skills and desktop editing skills
-Experience in handling a busy, fast-paced environment, and excel at breaking news coverage.

Applicants should have an undergraduate college degree in communications, journalism or related field; possess strong knowledge of the national news scene; 3-5 years newsroom experience is a must.
