National Sales Account Executive

WHNT/WHDF TV in beautiful Huntsville, AL., Voted #1 Best Place to Live and home to the Space and Rocket Center, seeks a motivated, detail-oriented National Sales Executive to be an integral part of the sales team. This key position will lead and support the station's national sales and work closely with the director of sales and the company's national sales organization to ensure revenue growth success.
Job Description:
• Collaborate with all facets of the sales department, including national sales, local sales, digital sales, traffic, and research.
• Through our National Traffic and Avail Systems, lead negotiations, order-entry, and revisions
• Facilitate makegood approvals with our National Sales Organization
• Provide commercial advertising time information as needed
• Update Programming for Accurate Negotiations
• Work with the corporate A/R department to manage invoices, discrepancy claims, and collection issues
• Work with Creative Services on commercial production projects
• Present National reports to Sales Management when needed
• Submit advertising copy instructions to the Traffic Department
• Work with other Sales personnel when needed
• Support other station departments and initiatives when needed
• When needed, file orders and revisions in a (digital) master file
• Perform or assist with additional projects and duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
• Ability to learn industry software.
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic.
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Ability to work under strict deadlines.
• Personable with good verbal and written communication skills.
• A college degree and/or prior work experience are preferred
