Job Description

WBTW in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the dominant local news
outlet in the Eastern Carolinas, is looking for a MMJ/photographer.

The MMJ/photographer will shoot, write, edit, and deliver VOSOTs on TV. They'll also post their stories to our digital platforms, shoot video and live shots for other reporters, and respond to breaking news.

This a great opportunity for someone who's ready for their first on-air job. You'll learn the fundamentals of TV and digital news by receiving training and regular feedback from WBTW staff. Strong performers will have the opportunity to move into higher-profile positions.
• Pitch enterprise stories
• Attend news events, including government meetings
• Shoot, write, edit stories for TV and digital platforms
• Deliver some stories on air
• Confirm stories while developing sources to regularly break news
• Shoot live shots with microwave, satellite, and TVU equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Ability to calmly handle a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Journalism training through college courses, internships, or professional experience
