Job Description
The Stream Center at WFLA News Channel 8 is looking for an innovative, dynamic, outside-the-box thinker to help create the future of content. The Interactive Producer, a newly created position, will be responsible for engaging, interactive, multi-platform shows for our broadcast, OTT and social media platforms.
This is not your average producer opening. Applicants should be highly driven, self-motivated and tremendously resourceful in their constant pursuit of creating captivating content. The position will incorporate unique opportunities such as engaging with the audience in real-time, scheduling high-profile guests, and curating moments for social media distribution.

Responsibilities:
• Producing next-gen shows that are highly interactive, engaging, and designed for audiences across a diverse array of devices and platforms
• Finding compelling stories and interesting guests for live and VOD content
• Editing video in Adobe Premiere and editing images in Adobe Photoshop in a fast-paced environment
• Interacting with our viewers before, during and after our shows
• Contributing to the creation of compelling social media posts to promote our news offerings
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work well in a team-oriented workspace
• Proficiency with social media and the understanding of digital content creation
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• On-camera ability a plus but not required
