Job Description

The Media Strategist is involved in all phases of the digital campaign lifecycle with a focus on presales. The Media Strategist will lead / assist in all aspects of client communication, campaign oversight, and account growth, including on-boarding, strategy, planning, organization, analysis, and new opportunities. This individual will be responsible for coordination between internal and external teams for successful advertising campaign execution across all digital channels, including social.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement high level strategies, innovative ideas, and solutions for impactful campaigns during the presale process
• Communicate media plan strategy and how it effectively meets goals outlined in a client brief
• Establish proposal rates for each plan, considering historical information, client goals and objectives, and profit margin
• Conduct and lead internal and external meetings with the Sales teams as well as advertising clients
• Maintain relationships with members of the sales, client services, media buying, analytics, product, creative, and others in the company.
• Effectively communicate as needed with account stakeholders, including internal and external parties
• Work with analytics and media buying teams for weekly reporting needs to provide clear insights to the client
• Provide best-in-class guidance to clients in the form of optimization recommendations and best practices
• Expertly speak to all digital product capabilities and proactively stay abreast of industry trends and developments to apply to day-to-day planning
• Own organization of assigned accounts, inclusive of the maintenance of IO/budget tracking sheets, creative trafficking documents, internal to-do lists, etc.
• Effectively manage responsibility as it relates to client calls and meetings, creation and distribution of pre-call/meeting agendas and action-oriented recaps.
• Master internal workflow system and order management system to maintain inter-departmental organization and streamline communication
• Work with Account Coordinators to ensure campaigns are transitioned and executed according to plan; pivot based on any in-campaign optimizations and revisions

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital Advertising
• Previous experience in account or campaign management in advertising required
• Knowledge of digital and social advertising and the media landscape in general
• Fluency in DSPs and social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and Pinterest, and ability to use each channel to maximize client returns.
• Strong client service skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain accountable to deadlines without exceptions.
• Extreme attention to detail and strong sense of urgency
• Ability to analyze and present data effectively and efficiently
• Persuasive oral and written communication
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team and independently
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
