Creative Services Editor PT

The Creative Services Editor will produce compelling visual news video and live shots by utilizing their artistic, technical expertise and composition skills.
• Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, work product and desired effects
• Sets up and operates computer editing systems
• Organizes and strings together raw footage into a continuous whole according to scripts or instructions for commercial and promotional efforts
• Determines the specific audio and visual effects necessary to complete spots
• Selects and combines the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smoothly running spot
• Reviews assembled footage on screens or monitors to determine whether corrections are necessary
• Maintains editing equipment
• Builds banner ads for web and other digital presentations
• Assists with field production as needed under direction of the CSD

Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Proficiency with video editing equipment required
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred
• Relevant experience gained in a professional or educational setting
• Knowledge of digital banner design, including animated web banners
• Knowledge of motion graphics design
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma
• Fluency in English
