Job Description
NewsNation is looking for a Line Producer to join our growing team. The position is based in Chicago. The successful candidate will be responsible for line producing a national newscast. Candidates must have solid news judgment and a demonstrated ability to craft a creative rundown, create smart segments, and cover all breaking news aggressively.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Line Producer must work well as part of a team. Candidates must understand national news and politics and have instincts on when stories rise above being just local to having appeal to a nationwide audience. The Line Producer must have a successful formula for intermixing social media within a television newscast.

Requirements & Skills:

Five to ten years of producing experience from a top 20 market is mandatory.

Experience producing a national newscast is preferred.

Strong writing, organizational, and people skills are vital.

Desktop editing is a must.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills who brings lots of ideas to the table.
