Job Description

NewsNation is looking for a News Photographer and Editor. The position is based in Washington DC.

The News Photographer operates television or video cameras and edits for news packages and VO for our programs.

Duties to include:
Shoot video for news reports

Live shots in various settings in DC and elsewhere
Maintain video equipment
Edit reporter packages and video clips for television broadcasts and digital content on Adobe Premiere
Operate portable live unit and ENG trucks in remote situations
Perform other duties as assigned
Some travel will be required

Requirements & Skills:

Minimum five years' experience of video news gathering
BA degree in communications or related experience
preferred

Valid driver's license
Ability to lift and carry equipment in the range of 50 lbs. in weight
Basic knowledge of live truck operation
Good communications skills with sound editorial judgement
