Photo Editor/Photography Assistant (Part-Time)

The New York Yankees are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join the Yankees Photography Team. The entry-level part-time photo editor / photography assistant will work with the team photographer with photographing a variety of Yankees-related events (including games), editing, archiving, disseminating as well as all other photo-related needs within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist with photographing, including, but not limited to, game action, shooting corporate events/signage, pregame ceremonies, in-game entertainment, stadium landscapes, community events/groups, fan photos, and other requests.
• Edit, tag, apply metadata, and organize all photos including posting some photos in a timely manner to Getty Images.
• Transmit game photos as well as other events in real-time to social media via Photoshelter.
• Assist with e-mailing photos and other images as requested both internally and externally embedding the appropriate licenses.
• Organize historical scanned images for archive as well organizing and filing current images.
• Assist with photographing and editing photos for various features in Yankees Magazine.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of one (1) year's relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge of photography principles, with demonstrated proficiency with Canon cameras, Photoshop and Photo Mechanic.
• Will need to know or learn how to utilize Photoshelter.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Team player who takes personal responsibility for getting things done in a way that positively and professionally represents the organization.
• Must exhibit excellent judgement in decision making and ability to maintain discretion.
• Flexible work schedule and ability work in an outdoor stadium environment including some weekends and late nights.
