DEPARTMENT: Museum and Stadium Tours

REPORTS TO: Senior Museum Curator and Director, Stadium Tours

JOB STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

The Coordinator, Museum & Stadium Tours is responsible for coordinating all objectives related to museum programs and stadium tours, with a focus on day-to-day operations and customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Regular inspection of loaned artifacts, and comparison with condition report images, to ensure ongoing safe display within Museum exhibits
• Maintain inventory of autographed baseballs requested and collected for Baseball Wall display
• Create research files on Yankees players, teams, significant events, etc. using primary documents (newspaper clippings, periodical articles, etc.)
• Research, categorize, and maintain a database of Yankees-related pieces sold via major public auctions
• Preparation of Museum for game-day visitation, as well as post-game shut-down and facility inspection
• Greet game-day Museum visitors, offer exhibit interpretation, and answer general Museum inquiries
• Assist Senior Museum Curator with in-game Hands On History suite visits and with Hands On History presentations at corporate/private Stadium events
• Assist with overseeing Hands On History public programs, including set-up/breakdown of equipment; safe handling and presentation of artifacts; and safe storage of pieces following program conclusions.
• Preparation of PowerPoint slides for ''Virtual Curator's Circle'' webinars. Assist with presentation of public webinars (i.e., direct interaction with guests, answering questions, etc.) on-camera as needed.
• Assist Senior Museum Curator with various historical research projects
• Aid with daily setup and breakdown of public and private Yankee Stadium tours
• Quality control for Stadium tours (with emphasis on maintaining accuracy/effectiveness of presentation, promptness of tour departure/conclusion times, logistical compliance, etc.)
• Provide information on, and respond to inquiries about, Stadium tours via departmental email account
• Facilitate customer service via calls to the Tours department telephone line
• Assist with development and implementation of tour guide training program
• Update and maintain tour script integrity as related to historical team and individual player impacts
• Additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by Director of Stadium Tours and/or Senior Museum Curator.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in museum studies, history, or related field
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong interest in baseball history
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Flexible work schedule and ability to work in an outside stadium environment

The base annual salary for this position is $50,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
