Senior Researcher, Product Experience (Kids & Family, Mobile)

The Product Experience Research team occupies a central role in uncovering compelling ways to engage and entertain our global members. This Senior Researcher role supports two important missions within Netflix. The first is to innovate on a dedicated and delightful product experience for kids and their families around the world. The second is to create experiences across devices (mobile, TV, etc.) that make discovering, choosing, planning, watching, and playing delightful.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead innovative research with demonstrable impact on a global scale. You will be responsible for defining, leading, analyzing, and socializing research studies that generate insights to empower business decisions across the company. You'll partner with cross-functional teams who are passionate about delivering the most engaging, innovative, and inclusive experiences.

In this role, you will:
• Identify, prioritize, and lead research roadmaps that generate insights to inform product strategies across the company.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data Science, Content, Marketing, and Brand to proactively develop research initiatives.
• Define, design, execute and socialize a range of research studies that build a strong understanding of existing and future audiences and their experiences around the world.
• Identify best practices in existing and emerging research methodologies.

About you:
• 7+ years of demonstrable experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research
• Hands-on experience leading quantitative and qualitative research methods with kids, youth, and/or their families
• Hands-on experience leading quantitative and qualitative user research for different user interfaces (e.g. mobile, TV, web).
• A balance of creative and analytical skills with the ability to proactively define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings
• Strong communicator with a willingness to proactively collaborate with multiple teams across the company
• Passionate about translating findings into actionable strategic business recommendations
• Advanced degree in psychology, social sciences, child development, education research or a related field is preferred but not required
• Global research experience is highly desired but not required
• Experience with accessibility research is a bonus, but not required
