Netflix is seeking a Public Policy Coordinator for the DACH Region. This is a full-time position located at our Berlin Office. This position will report to the Director of Public Policy DACH and work to ensure that the policy and regulatory environment remains conducive to the growth of our business. You will be part of educating and raising the awareness of stakeholders, providing thought information on policy issues of concern to us, advocating for our position with policy and industry stakeholders collaborating with other local partners. In this role, you will:
• Identify, monitor, and analyze relevant policy trends, legislative and regulatory proposals, relevant news, and policy developments which may have an impact on Netflix in the DACH Region.
• Support in developing and deepening the Public Policy presence in the different countries of the DACH region; this includes:
• Supporting the building and maintaining relationships with a diverse set of public and private sector stakeholders to introduce Netflix and its business model;
• Working on the relationships with other public policy representatives across the technology, entertainment and media community, and serving as a representative of Netflix in relevant trade groups or other industry bodies;
• Supporting the development and preparation of events, presentations, position materials and consultation submissions as well as internal briefings;
• Helping to develop and execute initiatives and events to build our connection with the local creative community, in partnership with other teams at Netflix.
• Work cross-functionally and internationally with other internal teams to ensure strategic alignment on the various policy objectives and initiatives.
• Be offered the opportunity to continuously grow by taking over more and more areas of responsibility on your own.
• Due to close cooperation with the Policy functions for Benelux and Nordics, you might also support at times the colleagues in these regions.

To be considered for this Role, you have:
• Proven experience in a policy-related role in either a government organization, legislative body, policy consulting firm, policy research institute or in-house government relations department,
• Good understanding of the audiovisual industry, and keen curiosity of the internet, media and entertainment industries,
• Demonstrated good judgment, strong research and analytical skills, ability to work well under pressure, manage time and (re)prioritize tasks, and ability to collaborate with multiple teams simultaneously,
• An ability to cover a broad range of issues and work with a network of associations, consultants, lawyers, and other partners,
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills in German and English. Knowledge of French, Dutch or a Nordic language would be considered a plus.
• Experience in dealing with legal / regulatory issues and some knowledge on Media and Copyright legislation is also highly welcome, but no absolute requirement.
• Willingness to travel occasionally
