The Opportunity

Netflix is seeking a Public Affairs Manager for the UK and Ireland. This is a full-time position located at our expanding London office.

The successful candidate will be an intuitive communicator with a passion for building networks and a flair for finding creative ways to engage policy audiences. The role will focus on developing relationships with a broad cross-section of stakeholders, planning and managing policy-focused initiatives to advance the company's advocacy and helping to position Netflix as a constructive contributor to the entertainment industry by collaborating with industry partners and associations.

Reporting to the Director of Public Policy, UK and Ireland, the role is strategically important to building on the company's success in a fast-changing, highly competitive global landscape. This is particularly so as we continue to expand our already significant investment in the UK and Ireland, with a growing slate of original content across all genres and licensed titles from UK and Irish broadcasters. The role will have strong cross-functional interaction with the broader UK and EMEA teams, with a high level of visibility and impact within the business.

In this role you will:
• Monitor and analyse relevant policy trends, legislative proposals, news, and other developments which may have an impact on Netflix
• Develop and maintain relationships with Parliamentarians and stakeholders across industry, civil society and the nations and regions to increase awareness about Netflix's activities and build support for our policy positions
• Devise and execute a broad array of initiatives and campaigns to engage policy and industry stakeholders, including set visits, screenings and other initiatives and events, working in close collaboration with the EMEA public affairs function and local PR team

The ideal candidate will have:
• 8+ years' experience in the tech, entertainment or media sector, with a deep understanding of and curiosity about our industry
• Knowledge of the UK and Irish political systems, environment and institutions, as well as the cultural landscape
• Established networks across Parliament and beyond, and a strong appetite for external engagement
• The ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple teams
• A track record of successfully executing projects and campaigns
• Excellent judgement and the confidence to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

The role will require periodic travel to other European and international locations.

The Netflix culture attracts individuals who exhibit good judgment, innovation, selflessness, courage, impact, candid communication, passion and curiosity. A commitment to embrace and advocate for inclusion is essential. Read our culture memo. If it resonates with you, maybe you're the right person to join our team.
