The Leadership Programs team within Talent creates immersive learning experiences for leaders from across the company to learn more about our business, discuss key business challenges, and explore the values you bring to their leadership at Netflix.

We're looking for a Project Specialist based in our Los Angeles office to execute a portfolio of Leadership Programs offerings. This role will work closely with program moderators and management to ensure the smooth operation of program sessions, collaborate on post-seminar analysis, and contribute to the program's overall success. The ideal candidate is adaptive, collaborative, energized by taking on many things simultaneously, and has amazing organizational skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be passionate about leadership development and corporate education.

What you'll do:

Teaching Assistance:
• Support in-person seminars in a teaching assistant capacity: This involves helping the seminar moderator with the delivery of the seminar content, which could include assisting in in-room exercises, etc.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages active participation: This involves creating an environment where all participants feel comfortable and encouraged to participate actively in the seminar.
• Track and synthesize seminar discussions, key themes, and participant feedback: This involves keeping track of the discussions and key themes that emerge during the seminar, as well as gathering and synthesizing feedback from the participants.
• Build and maintain business acumen: This involves staying informed about what's happening with Netflix as a business in order to provide relevant and up-to-date information to the participants.
• Report and regularly liaise with the larger Leadership Programs team on themes and takeaways: This involves communicating regularly with the larger team about the themes and takeaways from the seminars, to ensure that the seminars are aligned with the overall goals of the Leadership Programs.

In-person Seminar Coordination:
• Travel for seminars/programs: This involves going to different locations within California or internationally, often for a whole week at a time, to coordinate the seminars.
• Adapt real-time needs and changes in the seminar room: This involves adjusting to any unexpected changes or needs that arise during the seminar. This could include changes in the schedule, technical issues, or participant needs.
• Provide technical support for audiovisual or digital tools used during sessions: This involves ensuring that all the technical aspects of the seminar, such as audiovisual equipment or digital tools, are working properly and providing support if any issues arise.

Program delivery / Project management:
• Manage a portfolio of initiatives from start to finish (design, planning, delivery, evaluation).
• Proactively manage tracking of all project activities to ensure deliverables are completed on time, risks are flagged, and key milestones are achieved, working closely with the Manager of Operations.
• Fully own the day-to-day tasks required to execute given initiatives (planning, communication, collaboration, scheduling, project scoping, etc.).
• Possible specialization / individual portfolio(s): (Information and data build and mgmt; systems/tools support, Data/feedback analysis, Communications and marketing, Virtual offerings, Custom seminars and/or future-developed offerings, Program registration, Inclusivity: knowledge/passion for this topic and how to improve our processes).

Key competencies:
• Teaching assistant capabilities & keen observational skills: You are deeply knowledgeable about the Leadership Program's curriculum and Netflix's business, able to assist moderators in the seminar room, and keenly observant of the group dynamics and moderators' needs. You can also capture themes/observations from the seminar for moderators' / team use (i.e., better equip top business leaders with the knowledge we have about our leaders' sentiments/learnings). You easily connect themes and know how to communicate them to appropriate audiences.
• Passion for developing people leaders: You must be energized by our remit and have a passion for developing business acumen in people leaders.
• Coordination & hosting: You are able to anticipate needs, communicate/liaise with cross-functional partners for the best outcomes in the seminar. You genuinely enjoy being in a ''host'' position, have a passion for fostering experiences for groups, and have zero ego (i.e. you love throwing the party, not being the life of the party).
• Communication & interpersonal skills: Superb communication and collaboration skills are essential. You'll be interacting with all seminar participants regularly and must be able to communicate and direct the group effectively, all with humor, empathy, and energy. These skills are crucial for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. You'll also need to proactively keep your colleagues informed of what you're learning and observing in real-time.
• Adaptability & travel readiness: This role requires a lot of travel, generally around twice a month, but up to 3 times a month (during busy periods), for a week at a time. The ability to perform effectively in different locations and cultural settings is crucial. You are also highly adaptable onsite and able to pivot with changes effectively.
• Strong organizational skills & ability to self-lead: Each person in this role will also have a subset of projects they work on to further the program's goals. These will range from ongoing responsibilities (like tools/workflow support) to more finite projects (like custom seminars, etc.). you should be able to self-manage and take a concept and execute it, all while knowing when / how to pull in stakeholders / informed captains as needed. You also have experience scaling projects.
• Proven track record in a project management/learning specialist capacity: You have several years of experience in project management and ideally also several years of experience working in adult learning environments. Having worked in a corporate environment and experience managing and scaling large-scale learning experiences are critical to this role.

Qualifications:
• Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Education, Organizational Development) or experience in a similar role, preferably within corporate education or leadership development.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze qualitative data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Proficiency G-suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, energy, and initiative.
• Ability to multitask and work in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
• International experience is a plus - time spent living or working outside the US
