The Studio is building in-house Post Production Services for the exclusive use of our shows. The Post Production Services team is charged with the strategy, implementation, and operational management of our purpose-built facilities and vendor partnerships, providing bleeding-edge technology, workflows, and services to our filmmakers.

The Role

You will be part of a team that supports our Offline Editorial, Dialogue Recording, Color Grading Suites, Dailies Processes and Sound support for our productions and creative artists, ensuring our in-house facilities and specialty rooms are fully optimized and meet the creative demands of our filmmakers.

The Specialist, Post Services will drive impact across two primary functions: Screenings and reviews in service of corporate functions, and specialized imaging-related, online editor services and expertise in Casa Netflix Post Facility

As the ideal candidate, you will perform well under pressure and have exceptional client service skills. You are a quick learner and can pivot quickly when the need arises. You are self-motivated and require little to no supervision. In this role you will collaborate with key technology teams across the Studio to provide our filmmakers with a high level of support.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work closely with Feature Artists and Editors.
• Help develop tools to automate workflow tasks within the studio.
• Provide escalation support for local and remote Editorial teams.
• Implement and support various workflows for the pipeline
• Mentor and train less experienced personnel on the team.
• Maintain Audio and Video calibration standards throughout the facility.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Escalate issues to Management, Engineering Services, and Infrastructure teams when necessary.

Qualifications:
• Color science/color management workflow expert with Display calibration (CalMan workflow) knowledge.
• Knowledge and experience of content creation and post-production workflows encompassing NLE, Dailies, Dialogue Recording, Picture, and Audio Mastering.
• Understanding of IP networking, Network storage, and Workstation architectures.
• Knowledge and experience with Digital Cinema technology including Playout Servers, D-cinema Projectors, and Audio Processors.
• Proven track record of innovation, initiative, creativity, and implementation
• High proficiency with the following software applications: Black Magic Resolve, Colorfront (Transkoder/OSD/ExD), Baselight, Pix, Media Composer is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with IP protocols and standards such as SMPTE 2110, AES67, and Dante is a plus
• Barco DCI projector operation, maintenance, calibration experience is a plus
• Knowledge and experience on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems is a plus
• Experience with Crestron and Q-Sys control systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to socialize, explain and promote new and complex technology, tools, and workflows.
• Ability to respond after hours for important, timely, and urgent matters.
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
