Job Description
It's an exciting time to join Netflix as we continue to transform entertainment globally. We bring new stories to over 230 million people in over 190 countries worldwide by promoting our original, exclusive content. This requires amazing content to spark member joy, but also strategic partnerships and payments initiatives that make it easy to sign up and pay for Netflix. We have ambitious plans, tons of opportunity, and the passion to be the best in payments - that's where you come in.

About This Role

We're seeking a payments leader to set the vision for growth through payment innovation and strategic payment partnerships in North LATAM (e.g. Mexico, Colombia, and Peru). In this role, you'll be building on top of one of the biggest subscription services in the world - helping us achieve an even higher level of business performance, and evolve to a broader set of payment capabilities. The role requires engaging internally with a broad cross-functional team including business development, product, legal, analysts and data scientists to name a few and requires deep collaboration with global and regional business leaders across various domains. Moreover, this role requires managing and contracting external relationships with key partners from financial institutions, card schemes, and fintechs in order to drive best-in-class payment performance and innovation, all while keeping customer experience a priority.

This role reports to the Director of Payments, Americas. Like all great companies, we strive to hire the best and we value integrity, excellence, respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.

A successful candidate in this role will have three key skills:
• You're an expert on payments infrastructure, processing, and technology for the Mexico, Colombia, and Peru markets. You have an intellectual, problem-solver and strategic mind with the ability to synthesize data, insights, and feedback from multiple sources. You are comfortable in translating abstract ideas and information into concrete short-term and long-term bets that support Netflix's growth.
• You have a visionary perspective of the payments landscape and demonstrate a strategic vision and judgment in payments. You present broad experience influencing external stakeholders whether it be negotiating a commercial contract or shaping new products.
• You are known by internal and external stakeholders as collaborative and inspirational. You foster strong relationships and alignment across different stakeholders within and outside the organization with a proven track record building a network in the industry.
• In order to be successful at Netflix, you must be able to anticipate and meet ever increasing business demands while demonstrating strong judgment in the face of ambiguity. You must thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and focus on generating results all while exhibiting the highest level of personal and professional integrity. You are someone who is comfortable and confident interacting with all levels of an organization and with the ability to operate independently and someone who welcomes failure as a learning opportunity. You will be asked to frequently represent the Payments team across the company and debate controversial topics with our executives.

You will be a high-impact individual contributor whose responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Make use of our payments infrastructure to improve the performance of existing payment methods, while evaluating any new payment methods that prove to have incremental value
• Seek out innovation in the payments domain by considering consumer's needs, relevant regulatory and technological trends that could influence Netflix's approach to payments in the short-term vs. the long-term
• Work alongside the Partnerships team on managing relationships with financial institutions, card schemes, and fintechs in order to drive best-in-class payment performance and innovation
• Own key payment metrics for your markets and derive actionable insights into improving the experience for our customers, improving performance, and ensuring efficient cost structures
• Partner cross-functionally throughout the organization (Product, Engineering, Customer S, Legal, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to get things done - whether that be optimization or market expansion and launching features and products that will drive growth in our business.

Qualifications:
• 6+ years experience managing very large CNP/recurring payments, either from a merchant, issuer or acquirer perspective
• Deep knowledge of payments technologies relevant to Mexico, Colombia and Peru
• Highly analytical with the ability to use data to make decisions
• Deep experience partnering and negotiating with payment partners
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Impeccable judgment and integrity; ability to make key decisions quickly and autonomously
• Existing network of relationships across the LATAM payments ecosystem
• Ability to juggle multiple critical tasks simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus
• Additional languages a plus
• Willingness to travel as needed across LATAM and the US
