Job Description
Partner Engineer (E5) - Mobile Games

Netflix launched mobile games in November of 2021 with a goal of providing games for everyone. We started with 5 games at launch and have launched another dozen over the last few months. Mobile games that launch on Netflix need to integrate our SDK to get access to the Netflix platform so that our customers can use them by logging into our service. Over time, Netflix will build a world class game platform that will provide game developers with features to make amazing games with SDK integration core to enabling that feature set.

The Partner Engineering - Games team at Netflix is looking for an engineer to work closely with mobile developers on the integration of our mobile SDK into Android devices. While we aim to make the integration of our SDK as seamless as possible, the scope of the integration surface area will increase in two dimensions - number of games and scope of product features available in our SDK. As both of these dimensions increase over time, we will need to ensure we build scalable approaches to supporting the integration of our SDK. We are looking for engineers that will help build a program that manages this growth as they will be key to building a successful approach to this challenge.

The Partner Engineer - Games role will be responsible for the successful integration of our SDK, ensuring our game developer partners can pass validation and acceptance, enabling our partners to have a seamless update experience (both for their games as well as for our SDK), and ensuring quality of the integration over the lifetime of the game. They would also be expected to build strong engineering relationships that would help facilitate innovation and product betterment. This is a highly cross functional role that requires candidates to spend much of their day speaking with engineers inside and outside of Netflix. We are looking for engineers that have a passion for collaborating with other engineers.

Responsibilities:
• Help integrate and improve the Netflix experience using Netflix tools and data.
• Improve our tools and processes
• Build and maintain engineering relationships with game developers.
• Resolving infield issues around game SDK performance

Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in Android game development with a focus in two or more of the following areas: backend API integration and development, security, mobile graphics, game engines (Unity and/or Unreal).
• Experience integrating SDK's into games on Android devices
• Demonstrated history or passion for quality and device data impacting user experience.
• Demonstrated history of delivering on full development lifecycle and multiple successful releases.
