Job Description
It's an exciting time to join Netflix as we continue to transform entertainment globally. We are bringing new stories to millions of people worldwide by promoting our original, exclusive content. A key to growth is our ability to translate and adapt culturally most things Netflix creates, from beautiful user interfaces to cinematic original programming. As we move beyond 204 million members and hundreds of partnerships worldwide, we are looking for talented individuals to drive better creative outcomes for our global presence.

Like all great companies, we strive to hire the best and we value integrity, excellence, respect, inclusivity, and collaboration. What is special about Netflix, among other things, is our Culture.

We treat each country we enter differently since it is not just about translation, it is about providing our audience with an experience that feels local, and we do it at scale. Our team is looking for an experienced Language Program Manager to join our existing Language Program Management team (in the US and Europe) to operate in partnership with regional Language Managers and Localization Program Managers (Product & Content), to drive our Language Program Management strategy and allow the Language Team to have a deeper engagement at the Content vertical and Product localization strategic level. The Language Program Manager will act cross-functionally and across all languages to drive, consult and advise on language-related strategic initiatives across our product and content.

The Language Program Manager will be a highly skilled linguistic expert in the localization industry and have a solid experience of managing multi-language programs at a strategic and language-agnostic level.

The Language Program Manager will be based in Los Gatos or Los Angeles (California) and be part of the Globalization Language team.

• At the title level, and in collaboration with the Content Localization PMs and the regional Language Managers, consult and advise on the need for guideline creation and other standardization devices in order to address at scale the linguistic and cultural complexity of Netflix content and product localization.
• Attend cross-functional meetings, in support of the Globalization PMs, with Content Acquisition, Creative teams, Product teams, other Creative Production teams, Theatrical release & Screening and Consumer Product teams where linguistic strategy, cultural adaptation for a particular title or feature are discussed.
