The Dubbing Production team is responsible for getting those amazing programs to our growing international audience. Centered around dubbing/VO production, a great team environment, and cutting-edge technology, this group is critical to Netflix's ability to provide the best localized experience of our great content. This position will report directly to the EMEA Regional Dubbing Manager (London) as a part of the International Dubbing Team, which is primarily based in Los Angeles. Together, this team is responsible for the creative aspects of localization production- working closely with our Content Acquisition, Globalization, Physical Production, and Post Production teams.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have a great passion for language, experience with the production of dubs, a deep appreciation of regional cultural differences, and a high level of intellectual curiosity. The role requires you to develop a relationship with our original content and be able to strategically identify the challenges and complexities localization will face before it even begins. Preserving creative intent will be your mission and developing creative approaches to the challenges at hand will be your passion. As a Dubbing Production Supervisor your goal will be to represent Netflix's quality, culture, and mission. Making sure our Netflix Post Partner Program ( NP3) vendors are compliant with our technical and creative standards is crucial for the local strategies. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment and initiative.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze content to identify and solve localization challenges in collaboration with the rest of the International Dubbing Team on assigned titles
• Build and leverage strong relationships with dub studios and dubbing directors in Turkey
• Establish solid relationships between dubbing contributors, respective unions and Netflix in alignment with the Legal and Business Affairs team
• Support the LA team with in-territory oversight to dub studio casting and enforcement of creative intent
• Utilize and build strong relationships with voice talent in Turkey
• Supervise dubbing sessions as designated
• Assist with M&E/mixing/linguistic QC sessions in-territory or by respective region as needed
• Accommodate and/or provide risk assessment for any special upstream localization requests
• Provide innovative thinking around scalable solutions and operational workflows for dub asset creation and management, constantly questioning existing systems and looking for a better way
• Effectively communicate project updates cross-functionally
• Make sound independent decisions, and know when to escalate issues
• Be the leading voice of dubbing production in Turkey
• Advocate, understand, communicate, and exemplify the company's values
• Continuously monitor any event that could impact dubbing operations in-territory such as union or political affairs

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
• 5-7 yrs experience managing dubbing workflows in the entertainment industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Native in Turkish and fluency in English
• Must be able to differentiate, identify, and articulate various mixing terminologies (e.g., drop outs, muddiness, perspective, depth, reverb, distortion, EQ, sibilance and sync, etc.)
• Proficiency in Avid Pro Tools, Voice Synchronization and Audio Cue Software, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and iWork
• Ability to convey mixing and dubbing terminology to third-party sound mixers in a seasoned, professional manner
• Passion for languages and dubbing quality
• Deep understanding of differences, subtleties, and nuances between subtitle and dub translation and production
• Knowledge and experience in dealing with dubbing unions (in territory)
• Working knowledge of territorial differences and best practices for dub audio creation
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot any predicaments with creative solutions that improve efficiencies in existing workflows and challenge current industry standards
• Adaptability and resilience to abrupt adjustments in priorities, technology, tools, and workflows
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with an increasingly high title volume, all whilst staying organized
