Job Description

To maintain a strong organization, we must embed ourselves in the business and understand what great talent and great work look like within it. In this role, you will work closely with the VP of Engineering and the rest of the exec engineering team. This will require deep knowledge and expertise of a broad range of engineering spaces - backend, platform, security, UI engineering, etc. - as you will be required to provide industry insights and advise the business and your team on recruiting approaches.

In addition to the business-facing aspect of your role, you will also be responsible for leading a growing TA team focused on hiring for all of our technical teams. You will represent and partner with the broader TA organization, while driving a strategy that is specific to the engineering teams across Netflix. You will be expected to set clear expectations and enable them to develop strong relationships with their hiring managers, surface incredible talent and act as trusted advisors to the Product organization.

What You Will Do
• Conduct organizational design for your team/function, advise against strategic hiring targets and resource plan accordingly with your team of TA leaders, recruiters and researchers
• Coach and provide feedback to TA leaders on resourcing, performance management, and strategic planning
• Manage, guide and coach a team of leaders, recruiters and researchers in developing sourcing strategies and hiring amazing talent for Netflix
• Partner with Inclusion and HR Business Partners to create and execute sophisticated recruiting strategies geared towards building a diverse and inclusive workforce workforce
• Participate at a team level on broader team projects and initiatives to enhance recruiting at Netflix
• Partner with the executive recruiting function to proactively network, talent map, and build succession plans for the engineering organization.
• Partner closely with the Product leadership team and help strategize on recruiting strategy, better understand trends, and ensure headcount alignment
• Evaluate current hiring process and make changes to streamline and enhance for candidate experience and/or hiring manager

What We Are Looking For
• 8+ years of management experience, leading high performing TA teams
• Experience and strong acumen of the engineering industry
• Confidence, inclusive leadership, empathy, strategic vision, courage and candor
• Prior recruiting and/or sourcing experience
• Knack and passion for developing recruiting strategies that will propel our efforts to increase representation within the engineering organization
