The Studio Data Science and Engineering team at Netflix is a talented group of analytics engineers, data engineers and data scientists who help scale our rapidly expanding Studio efforts. We conduct analyses and develop analytic tools, build predictive models and algorithms using machine learning, all with the goal of creating more joy for our members. We work with Production leaders across Physical production, VFX, Post-production and Animation. Our stakeholders and culture support data-driven decision making and this uniquely positions us to innovate in the Production space.

We are looking for a seasoned leader for the team that works closely with our Studio partners and product management teams to drive innovation in the production space using solutions founded in data science, analytics and data engineering.

There has been significant progress made in answering critical questions including, but not limited to: How do we plan for resources for areas like VFX and Post Production? How do we predict what budgets might look like given our upcoming content mix? How do we provide effective visibility into the many aspects of production and meaningfully build metrics to inform decisions? The leader would set the team's roadmap and charter to continue to drive significant impact for Netflix in the Studio space.

In this role, you will:
• Lead & hire a world-class team of data scientists and analysts
• Partner with various technical and creative stakeholders to define and execute on the team roadmap and charter
• Drive significant impact for Netflix in the Studio space
• Embody and steward the Netflix culture

This role is for you if:
• You have been leading data science, analytics and data engineering teams for 7+ years.
• You have a proven track record of working with novel problem spaces, have built and mentored teams and driven significant impact for your organization.
• You are a deeply empathetic people leader focused on innovation and impact.
• You excel at partnering with business & creative teams as much as you do with technical teams, and your partners consider you a strong thought leader.
• You have deep technical expertise in analytics, and one or more aspects of data science (machine learning, statistics, experimentation, etc).
