Job Description

The VP of Strategic Planning and Project Management for Telemundo's Marketing & Creative Strategy team will be responsible for leading and facilitating the strategic planning, development and execution of all Marketing campaign projects from inception to completion.

The VP of Strategic Planning and Project Management role requires strong leadership and communication skills to promote and ensure team alignment across all marketing functions, including marketing, creative, design and operations, foster team collaboration and synergy throughout the entire project lifecycle, and inspire and guide a project management team to deliver successful marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Project Leadership and Oversight:
• Lead and oversee all marketing campaign projects, ensuring they respond to strategic goals and objectives, are properly planned, managed and executed in a timely manner, within scope and budget
• Advocate, develop and implement project management best practices, methodologies, and standards to enhance project efficiency, effectiveness and improve the status quo
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Fosters cross-functional collaboration and synergy among different marketing functions, promoting and ensure alignment and a cohesive approach throughout campaign lifecycles
• Communication Champion:
• Act as a liaison across all marketing functional teams and key project stakeholders
• Ensure proper channels of Communication are well established and respected, and relevant project information is communicated in a timely manner
• Foster open, fluid and meaningful conversations to address project concerns, mitigate risks, facilitate timely decision-making, and conduct conflict resolution
• Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop strategic and comprehensive project planning documents, realistic timelines aligned with project milestones, accurate scope of work, and budget allocation and tracking, ensuring their adherence throughout the project
• Monitor and communicate project progress, identify potential challenges and proactively implement solutions to mitigate risks
• Continuously seek ways to improve project outcomes and efficiency
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of project managers and coordinators, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure their success
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance and harmonious culture and work environment within the project management team
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Communicate project overview, key milestones, project progress and accomplishments to business leaders, marketing teams, and other key stakeholders in a consistent manner
• Ensure project stakeholders are well-informed and aligned with project objectives, ensuring buy-in and support throughout project's lifecycle
• Resource Allocation:
• Liaise with Operations team to allocate resources efficiently and effectively to meet project requirements, including personnel, technology, project budget, and external vendors when necessary

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex marketing campaigns
• Strong understanding of marketing principles and the interplay between different marketing functions

Desired Characteristics:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Additional Requirements:
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
• Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
