Responsibilities
About the Role
The VP of Human Resources will provide strategic HR Leadership for NBCU's Content Distribution organization, as well as the NBCUniversal TV & Streaming Headquarters teams, including Affiliate Relations & Marketing, Business Development & Strategy and the Finance organization. The role will report to the SVP, Human Resources, Broadcast and Distribution as well as lead an HR Manager. In addition, this role will play a leadership role in driving other HR initiatives that cut across the NBCUniversal TV & Streaming portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and leverage HR processes and drive key HR initiatives across the Content Distribution organization, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication
• Serve as a resource and partner for the senior leadership team on division-wide employee development initiatives, compensation structures, and employee relations initiatives
• Negotiate and manage executive employment contracts across the group
• Partner and collaborate with various business and functional leaders on growth strategies and cost challenges; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute to enable these strategies
• Provide executive coaching to department leaders, offering feedback and advice on employee and organizational issues
• Creating and executing an Employee Engagement strategy across multiple client groups using Employee Survey action plans and in-depth employee communications
• Help to drive change within the organization, to include adoption of new technologies, workflows, staffing models, and organization structures
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of professional HR experience

Desired Characteristics:
• MBA or master' degree preferred; HR certification desired
• Previous Employee Relations/Labor Relations experience
• Strong business acumen, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills
• Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies and knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety
• Project and process management skills, demonstrated track record of delivering results
• Proven ability to thrive and work collaborate in a highly matrixed environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups
• Proven influencer; demonstrated ability to coach and counsel both employees and management
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and lead change
• Prior media/television industry experience preferred
