Responsibilities
Vice President, Communications Special Projects and Diversity & Inclusion, Universal Studio Group
This role will report to the EVP of Communications for Universal Studio Group and will oversee special projects and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) efforts across both Corporate Communications and Series Publicity. This person will play an important role in shaping the communication strategy with a focus on diversity and inclusion and lead communication efforts around special projects for the studio such as Pitch Fest, Flip the Script, Emerging Director Program, Writers on the Verge and showrunner incubator programs like the LatinX Talent Lab. They will also play an important role in internal and external communication of the Universal Studio Group commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities:
• Develop the strategy and framework for D&I internal and external communications
• Develop and execute plans that position executives as internal and external thought leaders
• Work with D&I executives across NBCUniversal to align business strategies and identify opportunities to partner with external organizations to further our efforts
• Partner with various groups to develop and drive social media campaigns that enable us to showcase our D&I commitment
• Work with the awards team to identify global award and recognition opportunities, including top external ratings and rankings of workforce and D&I performance, series specific award opportunities and showrunner recognition; support submission process and campaign
• Work closely with leadership team on crises management and communication
• Write and copy edit a variety of press and communications materials including executive communications
• Ensure a consistent look and feel for our studio D&I communications, including advising marketing and communications teams on strategy and style
• Keep current record and topline messaging points for all of the studio D&I efforts including program success and participation
• Pitch and manage press outlets that provide a diverse perspective for coverage of USG series
• Work across a variety of teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Build relationships with reporters, outlets and D&I leaders across the industry

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience
• Experience working on inclusion and diversity initiatives
