Job Description

Responsibilities:
NBC10 Boston / NECN is looking for a dynamic Transportation Anchor/Reporter for our morning news and digital platforms. This job calls for an anchor/reporter who can help Boston area commuters get to and from work hassle-free. The days of standing in the key and pointing to a traffic map are gone. We are now competing with Waze and other traffic apps and we are serving commuters in cars, trains, buses, bikes and on foot.

To succeed in this position, you've got to have strong social/digital skills, a solid understanding of Boston's roads and routes and the ability to not only anchor but report on transportation issues on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of on-air anchor/reporter experience
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be willing to work in Newton, MA
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights
• Must have the ability to work any of a 24 x 7 shift
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Desired characteristics:
• BA/BS in Journalism or Communications
• Working on WSI/TRUMAX traffic technology
• Extremely strong social/digital skills
• Must be a team player
• Must have strong ad-lib skills
• Strong live reporting skills are necessary. Able to handle working under the pressure of intense deadlines.
• Possess the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish

Additional Requirements:
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
