Responsibilities
Position Overview
The SVP Distribution Strategy & Operations will lead the evaluation of strategies to optimize film distribution across various platforms. Reporting directly to the Vice Chair and Chief Distribution Officer for Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, the SVP will partner closely with stakeholders within the Film Executive Team, Theatrical Distribution, Home Entertainment, Digital Distribution, and TV Distribution, on critical decision-making in a fast-changing media landscape.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead cross-functional business unit resources in critical strategic projects including market assessments and sizing of new opportunities, specific company evaluations, partnership structures and terms
• Lead financial analysis to evaluate distribution related decision making
• Develop and execute growth strategies to support film distribution and operations
• Deliver comprehensive business plans, including P&L and cash flow projections, as well as NPV & ROI analysis for (i) new window/channel distribution initiatives, and (ii) internal business performance improvement, including organizational design and efficiencies
• Evaluate commercial partnership opportunities
• Develop strategic relationships with companies operating across a variety of platforms in both traditional and digital consumer segments
• Lead research and analysis related to the media landscape to track trend evolution and inform distribution priorities

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• 15+ years of professional experience with significant exposure to the film industry and/or general media industry and its business models
• Strong business / financial acumen - ability to form judgments and actionable recommendations
• Forward-thinking, strategic, tactical and detail-oriented; proven ability to work across an organization at all levels with technical, creative, and executive team members
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
• Superior analytical, presentation and communication skills – written and verbal
• Ability to identify key priorities and execute on them
