Job Description

Responsibilities
• Oversee the Sustainable Production Program that is executed annually on more than 70 productions worldwide for Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and Universal 1440 Entertainment) and Universal Studio Group (Universal Television, Universal Television Alternative, and Universal Content Productions). Sustainable Production Program Responsibilities includes:
• Develop, keep current, and implement policies and materials
• Lead kick off calls with Production team, Accounting, and key department heads (Construction, Locations, and Transportation)
• Administer materials including, prep and wrap deliverables, best practices checklists, carbon and KPI data, and EMA Green Seal applications
• Serve as the liaison with crew and production personnel on sustainable production issues, opportunities and progress in environmental practices
• Oversee execution of food donation program on 50+ productions around North America and the UK
• Track progress of program on all productions, benchmark, and follow up where needed
• Collaborate with NBCU Sourcing to integrate policies into contracts with Red Book suppliers
• Create and distribute environmental impact reports for each production (PEAR), includes training production accounting teams on tracking methodology
• Resource for production executives and government affairs on sustainable production issues
• Assemble all production related carbon data for company CDP disclosure
• Represent NBCU and Serve on Industry Partnerships/Regional Sustainability Groups including:
• Sustainable Production Alliance (SPA), a consortium of production companies dedicated to advancing sustainability across the TV and film industry and collaborating with the PGA on GreenProductionGuide.com. Members consist of Amazon Studios, Amblin Partners, Disney, Fox Corporation, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Participant Media, Sony Pictures Entertainment, ViacomCBS and WarnerMedia.
• Environmental Media Association, Board of Directors
• MPA Sustainability Communications, Member
• LASER: Los Angeles Sustainability Executive Round Table, Member
• GBCSC: Green Business Council of Southern California, Member
• Serve on industry panels
• Partner with CSR on Corporate Sustainability Initiatives
• Manage, write and/or review external sustainability communication requests for NBCUniversal, includes supporting Universal Studios Hollywood sustainability communications as needed.
• Create and/or review NBCUniversal content for the company Values Report and website
• Identify awards and opportunities for company to demonstrate leadership, manage applications and receiving if awarded
• Oversee employee engagement as related to sustainability such as education materials, lunch and learns, and employee activations
• Assemble environmental employee education and engagement section for Universal City MMRP reporting
• Support CSR efforts to align business groups from across the company on sustainability issues
• Collaborate and serve as a liaison with Comcast Sustainability team on key initiatives, as needed
• Serve as Subject Expert in of Business Units, as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in TV or Film production in a sustainability capacity
• Corporate Sustainability Reporting Experience (CDP, GRI, etc.)
• Experience with carbon calculation, data analysis and presentation Experience managing relationships, setting expectations, and engaging with production executives, producers, directors, production crew and vendors

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Willingness to travel, if needed
