NBCUniversal International is expanding its digital business and launched Hayu in 2016. The service is a direct-to-consumer video streaming service, covering multiple countries including the UK and Australia.
Hayu is the first all-reality subscription video-on-demand service of its kind - available in 40+ markets globally across: the UK, Ireland, Australia, the Nordics, Canada, Benelux union, Germany, Austria, The Philippines, Hong Kong, and Singapore on a full array of devices (mobile, tablet, laptop & connected TVs) at www.hayu.com. Over 300 shows and over 10,000 episodes are downloadable to watch-on-the-go, including Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its spin-offs – along with The Real Housewives, Below Deck and Million Dollar Listing franchises. The majority of US shows debut on the service the same day as their US launch.
Job Description
The Strategy & Business Operations Associate will gain exposure to the EMEA Networks & International DTC business and work on a variety of core strategic business modelling and scenario analyses inside a global media company by providing key analysis to senior stakeholders, including SVP Business Operations and Managing Director by taking on individual responsibility for various projects. This role will support ongoing business LRP initiatives, with the aim of delivering analysis and strategic recommendations for revenue growth and cost control projects incorporating Research insights across the Hayu and Networks businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Business Operations team on all relevant strategic & operational projects.
• Support on Hayu and EMEA Networks business operations integration and efficiency analysis.
• Provide analytical and business modelling support for numerous strategic development projects including new business development, vendor efficiency, growth projects, partnership opportunities.
• Assist on modelling and analysis of commercial deals across the Networks and Hayu businesses.
• Support NBCUniversal's LRP priorities through the strategic use of data and insight.
• Work with relevant internal stakeholders to support the completion of annual LRP & budget cycles, providing strategic input & analysis.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to produce outstanding presentations when required.
• Ensure relevant operations projects are well-organized and managed in a timely manner; ensure all stakeholders are regularly updated.
• Provide ad-hoc support on wider Hayu and EMEA Networks presentations and Town Halls.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Advanced Excel and data analysis /data management.
• Strong presentational skills, both verbal and written with high attention to detail, including exceptional PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of Commercial finance, including non-finance partnering.
• An understanding of both linear TV networks and direct-to-consumer platform business models.
• Experience in managing core business initiatives/projects.
• Ability to deliver on multiple assignments/meet tight deadlines.
• Quick learner who can work independently.
• Ability to adapt and work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Experience working in a large multinational organization or digital business.
