About Us:

NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBC Universal products to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe, its revenue portfolio exceeding $7Bn per year. This includes a rich library of more than 4,400 feature films and 120,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world.
Overview:

Reporting to the Global Distribution Senior Manager, Accounting, the Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for calculating and adjusting revenue basis at the film title level in support of participations and residual calculations. This position will work in partnership with the Sales Administration team, the Participations & Residuals team, and other members of Finance to gather inputs and communicate the results of calculations.

Responsibilities:
• Collect, analyze, and prepare revenue by-title analysis for participations and residuals calculation purposes.
• Maintain SOX controls related to revenue accounting/revenue recognition.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation and upload to SAP (General ledger).
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with Company policy.
• Assist the Participations & Residuals team in participant audits.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as requested.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, and macros.

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, California.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Desired Characteristics
• CPA preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and detailed oriented.
• Ability to work with large amounts of unstructured data.
• Proactive problem solving, gathering and analyzing information to make decisions to accomplish responsibilities.
• Understanding of internal controls, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential for this fast-paced environment.
• The ability to plan and organize work to meet tight deadlines.
• SAP/BW experience is highly desirable; willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
• Self-Starters who are assertive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
• Big 4 and/or Entertainment experience a plus.

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
