The Sr. Manager of Payment Operations will lead a global team of analysts to optimize payment activities, reduce churn, and ensure compliance with payment regulations while defining and tracking KPIs. This role involves increasing transparency through payment dashboards, managing relationships with payment service providers, and providing expertise on global payment trends to drive innovation and process improvements.

This role reports to the Director of Payment Operations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead a global team of Payment Operations analysts working across day-to-day payment activities- focusing on churn reduction, payments reporting, global payment trends, and payment regulations/compliance.
• Work closely with the Commerce Payments team to maintain and develop the company's streaming product payments strategy.
• Define KPIs across the global Payment Operations team and identify opportunities for improvement in our payment success and involuntary churn rates.
• Increase transparency by leveraging additional payment dashboards to support Payment Operations KPIs.
• Ensure proper controls, reporting, and monitoring are in place to support global Commerce Product initiatives and implementations.
• Provide subject matter expertise on global industry trends, emerging payment methods, and best practices to drive innovation and improve payment processes.
• Educate the Payment Operations team on domestic and international payment trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Manage relationships with our payment service providers (PSPs) and financial institutions to improve payment processing capabilities.
• Create a culture of support, honesty, and transparency.
• Possess excellent listening, collaboration, and facilitation skills with an ability to develop and maintain solid, enduring relationships.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience querying, visualizing, and presenting data.
• 2+ years relevant working experience in payments or subscriptions related.
• Experience working with Payment Service Providers, Card Networks, Alternative Payment providers, Billing and Payments systems.
• PSPs: Adyen, Stripe, Braintree, etc.
• Card Networks: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, etc..
• Alternative PSPs: PayPal, Venmo, Square, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.
• 1+ year of team management experience required.
• Knowledge of global payment trends and regulations and how they impact our global propositions and the customers.
• Familiarity with BI technologies (Including Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.)
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to effectively present data analysis and insights.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels on payment inquiries and issues.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, and general data visualization tools, Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Communicates effectively both orally and in writing; presents ideas in a clear, concise, understandable, and organized manner.
• Demonstrates effective planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:
• Localized understanding of payment trends within Domestic, African, UK, and EU territories.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics)
• Experience with regulatory compliance and business analytics in Card Not Present commerce.
• Media, entertainment, and/or subscription services experience.
• Self-motivated and well-organized with effective communication and documentation skills
• Track record of thinking outside the box to identify patterns across different information sources.
• Experience working with a product development
• Great collaboration and facilitation skills to develop strong working relationships and excel as a team player within the organization
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, organizational skills, and critical thinking.

Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible).
