Job Description

The Sales Strategy group is looking for exceptional candidates for the position of Senior Manager, Global Ad Sales Strategy. This role will be focused on scaling our global media business by working with sales, operations, research, technology and other stakeholder groups across both NBCU and its partners to drive advertiser success around the world. A passionate, well-organized and highly-effective individual is sought to join our team.

You will be joining a blue chip team with significant media experience in addition to varied professional services backgrounds. The NBCU Ad Sales Strategy team is responsible for driving long-term growth opportunities for the wider sales organization. Acting as strategic consultants, this dynamic team supports Ad Sales and corporate stakeholders across a wide range of initiatives including sales optimization, inventory expansion and optimization, go-to-market strategies, budgeting and planning analyses, and market insights.

The Role: The Sr. Manager of Global Ad Sales Strategy will be responsible for international growth and operational efforts for Ad Sales at NBCUniversal, partnering closely with other Ad Sales teams across Comcast sister companies (NBCU Int'l, Sky, FreeWheel). This individual will be creating high-level strategies and project planning towards future initiatives, but also implementing them at the working level with cross-functional the teams. This role will be expected to work with colleagues across multiple functions, both inside and outside Ad Sales as well as across our Comcast sister companies and Global Partners. We're looking for a dynamic person to bring innovative thinking and strong analytical skills to help grow our business.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Global Growth Strategy: partner with VP to map areas for short- and long-term growth for NBCU's international expansion efforts across geographies, sectors, and partnerships
• Digital Strategic Initiatives: partner with VP to develop strategies and implement project plans to monetize our global digital inventory in areas such as programmatic & streaming
• Executive Readouts: partner with SVP to own and manage updates to Ad Sales leadership and Corporate stakeholders on core cross-functional workstreams, growth opportunities and risks
• Marketplace Analysis: own analysis of competitive and external marketplace reports to predict global trends and identify strategic gaps, informing long-term strategy
• Revenue Analysis: own analysis of internal revenue and operations and present findings and recommendations to Ad Sales Leadership on quarterly basis
• Budget/Long-Range Planning: support Finance & Sales with development of sales and product targets by region/team and execution plans to deliver
• General Sales Support: (1) Work cross-functionally to coordinate and execute all Ad Sales growth efforts across NBCU Global across multiple teams and time zones; (2) Identify prospecting opportunities via rigorous analytics/market/sales feedback; (3) design optimal strategy for driving international revenue across NBCU's key agency partners and clients (4) Independently structure problems, scope analyses and iterate workstreams to final product (5) Manage development of Sr. Analyst

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 7+ years of previous relevant work experience in professional services (ie. Consulting, banking) or media experience at a large network/publisher/agency
• Ability to produce executive level presentations and summarize complex ideas into actionable solutions (proficiency in power-point required) with minimal support
• Proven quantitative analytical abilities, including Excel modeling skills and data manipulation (proficiency in Excel required)
• Ability to identify and source relevant data and synthesize key information and insights from multiple workstreams, data sources and team members
• Strong project management skills and able to collaborate and connect dots across different workstreams & teams
• Must possess a passion for media and strong intellectual curiosity
• Strong ability to manage delegation to and development of junior members of team (Analysts, interns, rotation associates)
• Must be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners across various parts of the Global business
• Solutions-oriented, helping to figure out and solve challenges
• Strong team player
• BA/BS required

Desired Characteristics:
• Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to work in groups and independently
• Experience with programmatic, digital video, and streaming services
• Strong understanding of insights & measurement – experience with tools such as Magna, Kantar, GWI, eMarketer, Ampere etc.
• Global experience and understanding of key EMEA, APAC, and LATAM markets
• Ability to navigate through ambiguous projects independently and resourcefully
• Reliable and punctual; can effectively manage time across projects

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $95,000 - 125,000, bonus eligible
