Job Description

The Sr. Director, Finance serves as an integral position on the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) Global FP&A team, reporting to the VP, Global FP&A. This role provides unique oversight to the overall forecasting, pacing, budget and consolidation processes across the transaction digital and physical home entertainment business. Responsibilities for this role includes financial oversight of Operating Cash Flow (OCF), distribution partner management, quarter close procedures and accurate management of full P&L within the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) internal system infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include coaching and developing 4 team members, collaboration with UPHE Controllership, and Film HQ counterparts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
• Own all aspects of financial planning pacing intervals for UPHE including monthly estimates, quarterly pre-close pacing and variance analyses
• Manage monthly and quarterly forecast updates and communication with key distribution partner
• Liaise with International OpCo's to integrate semi-quarterly pacing updates
• Own quarterly Op Review presentations to Film HQ counterparts
• Manage all aspects of OCF team workload and responsibilities ensuring that deadlines are met
• Manage any ad hoc requests from senior leadership as needed
• Manage direct reports and a broader staff though leadership, coaching, career development, and performance management

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 4+ years of experience in a people management capacity
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics:
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred
• Experience in Media & Entertainment industry preferred
• Ability to think creatively and strategically while navigating difficult and complex finance processes in a corporate setting
• Ability to work in fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels
• Demonstrated ability to manage large data sets and navigate ambiguity
• Flexibility to quickly pivot priorities on short notice
• Team player with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead multiple team members

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
