Responsibilities

Job Purpose

NBCU's Advanced Advertising team is at the forefront of leveraging data to help clients reach their target audiences. On this team, you will design strategies, business plans, forecasting, and modeling to drive growth and yield. This will involve tracking product performance and owning communication for executive leadership. In addition, you will own commercialization efforts and strategic partnerships in collaboration with Sales, Planning & Inventory, Product, and Finance teams and be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on data and audience-related initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role has the following key areas of responsibility:

Build and Manage Audience Business Strategy:
• Develop annual budgets in partnership with other Strategy teams across the company and cross-business teams such as Finance, Planning, and Sales.
• Work on Upfront and Scatter marketplace policies and develop Sales and communications plans for sharing plans both internally and externally.
• Evaluate and support high-impact strategic projects across NBCU Digital with a focus on driving initiatives for NBCU's O&O inventory, vMVPD and Digital partner distribution.
• Work closely with cross functional areas of business (Product / Planning / Marketing/ Sales /Ad Operations) to ensure seamless execution of key initiatives.
• Lead communication of business priorities to Executive Leadership on weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
• Development of Reporting Tools for Sales Performance Tracking
• Lead development of business analytics tools in partnership with Finance and Business Intelligence.
• Develop, maintain and enhance periodic Sales reporting tools.
• Create periodic market intelligence on industry trends and analyze voice of the customer from Sales and Supply Intelligence teams.
• Drive vertical Finance teams to develop workflows for periodic reporting.
• Measure effectiveness of monitored KPIs and maintain key metrics dictionary.
• Use and maintain an in-depth understanding of key ad sales and planning systems (e.g. Salesforce, NBCU Internal budgeting systems) and tools.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• MBA strongly preferred or 7-10 years preferred in media or consulting
• Proven experience in creating and managing business plans and commercialization strategies for data-driven products
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive decision-making; experience creating revenue forecasts and financial modeling
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to executive leadership
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excel power user with experience analyzing complex data sets; proficiency in business analytics tools and systems, including Salesforce and financial reporting software a plus
• Outstanding interpersonal & networking skills
• Ability to travel as required from time to time
• Media/Ad Sales Experience not a minimum requirement
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
